Grand Prix GT 3.8L 3800 Series Iii

I was on an extended trip, and about 40 miles into the trip, there was a noticeable lack of engine performance, and the car revved at very high rpms. At the stoplight off the exit, the car shifted gears at approx 4000 rpm, without a hard start or anything else. Onstar reported that it was a problem with the electronic throttle control, and that I needed to get it to a dealer ASAP. It was on a Saturday, no GM dealers nearby, so I rented a car to continue the journey. Drove it to the shop on Monday in terrible condition, and they did indicate that the ETC was the problem.

Ironically, on my 2004 Grand Prix, I received a recall notice in the mail that the electronic throttle control was faulty, and needed to be replaced. This did not apply to my 2004, because it was totaled and scrapped.

On a trip to the same place, THE CAR DID THE EXACT SAME THING. Exact same problem. I have to take it in tomorrow again.
