Grand Prix 3.8L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 118,000 miles

Transmission is going to cause a DEADLY ACCIDENT. After being at a complete stop, trying to go is a f** pain in the ass. Especially with 3 small children in the car it's going to cause me to get rear ended causing harm to my children. While driving, rpms are going up high and it does a hard jerk going into next gear.

Grand Prix GXP 5.3L V8

  • Automatic transmission
  • 71,793 miles

Gm put a transmission in thats meant for 280ft lbs of torque, with an engine that puts out 330ft lbs of torque. Doesn't make sense to me. I am sure half of the gp gxps needed a new transmission.

Transmission replaced around 65,000 miles under warranty. Around 120,000 problem came back. A big lemon these transmissions are.

My car put me in a bad situation not only because it was our only means of transportation but it still doesn't have 10.000 miles on it in which the warranty should have covered but i was told it didn't. But then having to pay 2.500 to get it replaced was the slap in the face. called gmac but to no avail they didn't even try to help me i tried to tell them that the car was still under the 10.000 miles warranty they said it was nothing they could do. I even tried to find a complaint form under their web site but could not find one I guess they don't want to here from their consumers that keeps them in business and I want the world know how they treat their customers.
