problem #2

Jul 052017

1500 5.7L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 36,000 miles

Veh had to have the Wireless Ignition Node module replaced at approx. 36,000. No warranty or just outside of warranty. Totally unacceptable in my opinion to have to replace this. Problem was when trying to shut off vehicle key fob would not turn all the way to the off position, would only stay in Acc. It became a 50/50 proposition as to if it would go to the off position to remove key. Took less than 30 min to fix problem and reprogram key fobs.

1500 Quad Cab 5.6L Hemi

  • Automatic transmission
  • 41,658 miles

This the second electrical problem. First was the door locks would not lock and cost me $195.00 last year 2016. Now the ignition will not completely shut off and have to restart sometimes two to three times before it will shut off and get your key out. The dealer said they will take a look at it and he told me they have not been experiencing this problem on other Rams. I told the service manager I do not believe this.
