Error code P0463: Fuel level sensor circuit high input, this means my fuel gauge is experiencing failures and I can not accurately determine how much fuel is in the vehicle. Doing a quick google search, this appears to be a very common issue with the 2014 Ram 1500 5.7L. I'm at roughly 68500 mile on my truck so the issue is also out of warranty.

Horn no longer works, by pushing it or with key fob locking when locking my truck. I've read that this has happen on multiple Ram 1500S. My just stop when exiting my truck and I notice I didnt get any beep when trying to secure my truck. Checked every fuse, relay, even took it to the dealership I purchased it from. Only had the truck for 4 weeks and they told me I would have to pay $600. This is a safety issue and I shouldn't be responsible for a horn not beeping..

While driving the 2014 Ram 1500 the vehicle has lost power numerous times. This is an intermittent issue and I have not been able to duplicate on the spot. This means that the lose of power can happen at any given time. This lose of power will result in losing steering and sometimes braking, since all are controlled by electronics. These occurrences have happened while normal driving conditions; rolling up windows, turning on bright lights, and just driving.

Driving on hwy 17 down a ramp, throttle sensor light came on and truck stalled out. Restarted truck to pull off hwy/ramp to safer location, noticed thick bl smoke billowing out from under hood. Pulled into parking lot, lifted hood to see flames coming off engine. Bystander called 911 while I got a bucket of water. Threw bucket of water onto engine while police and fire dept finished extinguishing. Fire dept stated they have seen a few eco fires. Towed to hendrick's, contacted Ram. Ram stated no need to contact ins co (they will handle it). Thought this was strange, contacted ins co anyways. Inspected by 2 fire specialists, ins co and Ram. Ins co stated manufact defect, Ram stated leaky injector (which were replaced by Ram 18K mi prior at dealership). I sustained smoke inhalation and 1st degree burns to face, neck, lt arm and had/have headaches. Truck was still under 100K warranty with only 40K. Ram denied opened claim and warranty. Ins co totaled truck out, they still have an open claim against Ram. Additionally Ram denying my emissions settlement of 3K only offering 900 (stating emissions work couldn't be done due to fire classifying me as a previous owner although I was current owner even at that time). I still haven't settled emissions. Recently Ram has recalled all 108K eco-diesels 2014-19 for fire hazard. My truck fits the description for what happens and always needed a little coolant with maint, insp, oil changes. I paid off my truck before, and now have a payment with what I consider a lesser truck. When I call fca and give my info they often hang up, act like they cant hear me, or state they are transferring me to manager (hanging up on me). Also stating someone will get back to me, but never any returned call (supposed to get a call tomorrow, will see).

Fuel pump sensor failed. Replaced the part, bought from the dealership. Installed and worked for two days before the sensor again failed. When the fuel tank is filled the gauge does not sense any fuel in the car. Also the car's computer system fails to tell you which part is in failure- the brake light indicator went on for the passenger side brake light, it was actually the brake light on the cab that was out.

Vehicle loses power randomly and completely shuts down. This has happened in traffic, in the driveway, and while traveling down a highway at 70mph. In thirteen months the vehicle has been driven and towed for repair to various dealerships seven times. The first four times it was taken to a dealership, it was released to me without repair due to the dealership being "unable to reproduce the issue". this vehicle is dangerous and should be removed from commerce.

The vehicle's instrument cluster flickers from bright to extremely dark. The Dodge dealership traced the issue back to the icp module. As this module continues to flicker it draws the attention of the operator away from the road. The module also indicates engine issues, this could lead to a loss of control resulting in a crash.

While living in Virginia in 2015, I proceeded to take my Dodge Ram in to correct a defective wire harness. Recall notice R36, NHTSA 15-459 noted 'the steering wheel wire harness on your vehicle may become chaffed by the driver airbag module retainer spring ends. A chaffed steering wheel wire harness could cause an electrical short and/or an inadvertent driver airbag deployment. Inadvertent driver airbag deployment, during certain driving conditions, may increase the risk of a crash and/or vehicle occupant injury.' After that recall was performed, I lost all use of my horn, and electrical features installed on the steering wheel. I drove several years without these features and never really had time to get this evaluated because of multiple military deployments. We relocated to Ohio and I decided to have the truck evaluated and basically the recall work was never corrected by fair oaks chantilly Chrysler dealership. On July 8 through July 11, 2019, my vehicle was serviced by jeff wyler Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep in batavia, Ohio to corrected the recall notice R36, nhsta 15-459. My service manager noted to submit a claim to be reimbursed for $403.78. They reached out to Chrysler headquarters for further consultation, however, they never responded to my service manager.
