I got into my truck to leave from work. When I started the engine, the "battery voltage low" warning instantly came on. Just a few seconds later, the "service power steering" warning came on as well. At this time the radio shut off. My truck then said: "battery saver mode" was on, and the radio came back on. The power steering was completely off/not working, so I was very grateful that I was sitting in the parking lot and not driving while this happened as it could've caused a major accident! I limped along slowly with my flashers on, to an autozone to have them check my battery. They were very busy, so even though my battery was less than a year old, I simply bought a brand new one to see if it fixed the problem with both the battery (which should not have been a problem at all) but more importantly, the power steering failure. Thankfully, I had a nearly straight shot to get home, but it was very hard to steer the truck, and I'm a big guy, so for the average person, they would have most likely had to call a tow truck. I have started it up every day since then which was 5 days ago, and I have absolutely no power steering at all. This should never happen on a vehicle...never. And I had zero problems with it, so why would it just fail for no apparent reason? there must be a recall for this; please advise. Thank you.

My truck vibrates at speeds between 55 -68 mph. I no longer have 4 wheel drive and was told it is my right front differential. They need to replace the entire front end costing me close to $3,000. I have seen this as an issue on Ram and Dodge forums. It seems like if this is an issue with the vehicle there should be some sort of recall. This has been going on for a few years but the 4 wheel drive died last year but due to covid I did not get it fixed because I was working from home. I am now back to work and need to have it repaired. Unfortunately the parts are on back order and at least a month away. I have 121,000 miles and I would hope to drive the vehicle for years to come but in these times $3000 is a difficult bill to take.

My truck stalled while I was driving home and suddenly shut off. This caused me to swerve missing a car next to me. I lost drivability but managed to pull to shoulder where I could not restart my truck. I had it towed and parked in front of my house. There is no recall fix yet. So now I'm stuck with no truck.

After receiving V08/V11 aem update November 18th, 2020 I am experiencing an average of 5-6 mpg loss in fuel economy (16.4 mpg mixed - down from 21.5-22 mixed) as well as experience severe acceleration lag. In terms of highway mileage I am struggling to get 20 mpg. Current ECM: 68306456ai current tcm: 68234053ah following the V08 emissions recall, drivability has been seriously reduced and has created dangerous throttle lag and improper automatic transmission gear selection. I would summarize these issues as turbo lag and improper shift mapping. When accelerating from a complete stop there is a 2-3 second lag before the vehicle begins to move even if the throttle is fully depressed. If you are executing a right or left turn into traffic or crossing an intersection this will leave you exposed to a "T-bone" collision. This behavior is even more pronounced when the vehicle has not been run (cold engine). Climbing a moderate hill shortly after pulling out of my driveway forces the driver to manually downshift the automatic transmission to first gear to get any forward travel. Again, the vehicle will rapidly accelerate after the 2-3 second lag. Once returning to "drive" at 15-25 mph the transmission will up-shift several gears and then begin slowing, dropping engine RPM to 1,000, again forcing a manual down-shift to second or third gear to maintain speed. The engine produces almost no power until the engine reaches 2000 RPM. All of this behavior began after the noted recall. I have contacted a Ram dealer regarding this performance and was told that this is a common complaint. They mentioned that the factory was aware of this but has no remedy available."

My 2014 Dodge Ram blows a powder out of the vents. I was driving down I5 doing about 60 mph and my heater kicked on blowing a white powder from the vents into my eyes. I was temporarily blinded and almost lost control of my truck. I was able to squint out of 1 eye and get pulled over safely to the side of the road. I believe my contacts saved my eyes. As the evaporator starts breaking down it allows a powder to form that can blow in your face. Dodge should have something installed in front of the evaporator that would prevent this from happening.

Horn no longer works, by pushing it or with key fob locking when locking my truck. I've read that this has happen on multiple Ram 1500S. My just stop when exiting my truck and I notice I didnt get any beep when trying to secure my truck. Checked every fuse, relay, even took it to the dealership I purchased it from. Only had the truck for 4 weeks and they told me I would have to pay $600. This is a safety issue and I shouldn't be responsible for a horn not beeping..

Noticed a small loss of radiator fluid, no visible leak, but did receive letter relating to a diesel egr cooler defect. Now am concerned about steam leaking into my engine oil and thus contaminating the engine oil with damaging effects on the engine internal parts. Egr valve should also be evaluated as it directly effects egr cooler.

Was told the exhaust manifold bolt/studs warped and snapped and the exhaust manifold is warped, this happened on the driver side first but was covered under warranty but now happening on driver side out of warranty. Was told my dealership they see this often and was told fca has fixed the problem in newer years by using stronger material in the bolts. This informs me that fca knows of the problem but the dealers won't cover it as a design defect. Clearly there is a design defect with the exhaust manifold bolts as they should not be doing this and manufactures are suppose to account for these parts to see extreme temp changes. This has happened now twice to me but because I am no longer under warranty they won't fix the problem. The fist time was before 60,000 miles and now the other side is happening at 76,000 miles. To summarize the problem is warped exhaust manifold bolts and the manifold itself.

While driving at interstate speeds for approximately 130 miles (2.5 hours), vehicle sputtered and lost power, it stabilized at~40 mph. A check engine light and red lighting bolt displayed. We exited the interstate and made course to a dealership utilizing smaller hwys. En-route to the repair shop, at about 40 mph, vehicle started emitting smoke to include inside the cabin. Stopped the vehicle and evacuated all 4 people inside. Flames and heavy smoke soon became visible as we watched from afar. Large flames grew and quickly engulfed the whole vehicle. Fire department arrived and put out the fire.

The brake pedal keeps sinking numerous times before it stops. This clearly presents a safety hazard to occupants or pedestrians, and affects the drivers ability to safely control the vehicle. This happened on city street and highway on my way home. While driving it will brake properly a few times than it start sinking again. I feel it has to do with the master cylinder or booster. I also have video of the pedal sinking.

My vehicle has tremendous lag when trying to accelerate, but it is not all the time. I never know when pulling out into a road at a left hand turn if I am going to get throttle response or a dead petal. Too many times not I have been stuck with tremendous lag and almost rear ended by vehicles while turning onto a road. This was never an issue until a forced "fix" for a recall on the ecodiesel engine. Upon initial acceleration sometimes there is a 1-2 second lag before the vehicle even seems to accelerate at all. My mile per gallon has dropped several points and def is being over consumed. I do not know when the truck will accelerate or just lag out on me. I do not know if this is a motor or transmission or none of the above issue. I do know that many people with the "aem fix" for the recalled Ram is having the same issues. This vehicle does not seem safe to drive to to its unpredictability with acceleration. From a cold start, the vehicle is extremely sluggish for several minutes or miles, and that is in the warm ca sun.... I am waiting for the vehicle to not work at all. This has been ongoing for several months since having the vehicle "fixed"
