1500 Big Horn 3.6L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 18,641 miles

I bought used 2019 Ram with 10,000km in early 2020. Problems started right away, the radio would not work about every other week, no sound whatsoever, alarms etc. Dealer told me to disconnect positive battery, reconnect and yes, it did solve the problem temporarily. But imagine doing this at -25c, so I got frustrated, brought it to the dealer. I'm not to sure what they did but problem persisted.

But the first of June Uconnect does an update and all hell breaks loose. Left a permanent message Error 20. Now nothing works, no back up camera, no heat or air conditioning, no sounds, no gps - no nothing. On top of that the screen remained on after shutting off engine, and the next morning battery completely dead. Went to the dealer twice to complain, they said they ordered a new Uconnect system and were sorry about the dead battery situation.

On the third trip to dealer I talked to my salesman and said I needed a solution immediately, I was not going to unhook the battery 5 times a day!! Finally a technician pulled out a small fuse under the steering wheel and shut off the screen. No more dead battery, no screen, now waiting for the Uconnect radio system. Very frustrated and regret purchasing this Ram.

Looks good but nothing works, and I had other problems, like the instrument cluster going wild, transmission refusing to shift gears, plastics falling off. I had a 2004 Ram previously and was quite content with it, and now I am waiting to see how long it's going to take to fix this Ram.

1500 Laramie 5.7L Hemi V8

  • Automatic transmission
  • 1,000 miles

The truck drives on the highway. All the electronics dash and 12 inch radio will blink and the truck will beep. There are no error messages. Seems to only happen on the highway mostly. However, conditions seem random.

1500 Limited

  • Automatic transmission

Random issues. Car has stopped on freeway, with the gas saying empty when it's half full. Cruise control stops for no reason. Taken it in 3 times and they say nothing can be done, can't find issues. Very dangerous.

1500 Bighorn 5.7L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 6,000 miles

Every once in awhile the keys fobs don’t unlock or lock the vehicle. The other day they said changed the battery in the remotes, a few hours later after I left the dealership the issue happened again. I called the dealership but they couldn’t get me in until Monday. So last Thursday I called the dealership again about the issues, they told me to come right up, so I took time off work again to go up to the dealership to stand around for a half hour to tell me the remote is bad, but the remote they say is bad is the remote I DONT USE. I think Monday Will be the last day with my ram.
