The contact owns a 2017 Ram 2500. While driving approximately 50 mph, the door locks fell into the door and the tailgate opened without warning. The failure recurred several times. The vehicle was taken to massey yardley Jeep Chrysler Dodge Ram (954-327-4000, located at 777 North state road 7, plantation, fl 33317) where it was determined that there was no recall. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and referred the contact to NHTSA. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 20,000.

The contact owns a 2017 Ram 2500. While driving 5 mph, the tailgate unexpectedly opened numerous times. Anthony D'ambrosio Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram (2681 ridge rd, elverson, pa 19520, (610) 286-9450) informed the contact that the VIN was not included in NHTSA campaign number: 18V486000 (structure, latches/locks/linkages) and that there was no remedy. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer or independent mechanic for diagnostic testing or repairs. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 16,737.
