Since purchasing this truck brand new in 2018 we have had nothing but problems with this vehicle. Dodge Ram failed us every time. They failed to work with the dealer and ignored every attempt to find solutions. It started with vehicle loosing power on very dangerous locations a specially freeway located in curves in the middle of nowhere. It took years to fix that problem. Multiple times we drove from the shop being told that it was fixed and it wasn't. We would drive right back in after 15 min. It took over 3 years to get dodge and dealer to replace the transmission and all electrical issues. The other problem that we have had since buying this truck is the AC. Its been always a problem we are continuously trying to fix it and its been very hard. This entire summer my children have been suffering. We are driving in extreme heat with zero ac and Dodge Ram can not produce part for the dealership to fix it. What is really unfair that original dealer tried again to charge us for something that it waste the problem. We would have paid for it and would have been back within an hour. The new dealer Peterson Dodge understood the problem and was honest with us that there is a lot more then a filter. It was me who requested to get a second opinion and get a way from Larry H Miller Dodge.

I have a 2018 Dodge 3500 with 9800 miles on it.. The ABS light has come on reflecting a braking and control problem. This also shuts down the safety system within the brakes, shuts down the 4 wheel drive and cruise controls also. It is my understanding from the dealership, there is a problem with the parts within this system, and they can not get any parts released to them for repair. They also don't want to use the same parts, knowing they will only fail again. Which would fall back on them, as a repair faciality. Why hasn't the NHTSA ordered a recall on these vehicles. There are Law Suites also addressing the ABS failure and many complain on this safety failure. I see there is a recall regarding tailgates issue on some of the dodge products. Clearly the braking systems must a higher priority. We should not be required to pay for these repairs. I paid $ $70,000 plus for my truck!!! Now they cost in the mid $ 80 K I want feed back from the NHTSA regarding there actions, on the Dodge ABS failure. You ask a question below regarding "WAS THERE A CRASH" in this case it was a near crash. Yes I alive, due to my agility to control the vehicle only. I'm 65 and drive vehicles prior to ABS, so this played into my abilities to control the vehicle. It is now a Federal Law that all vehicles be equipped with a ABS system.. ONE THAT WORKS CORRECTLY. My truck is due a annual safety inspection by the end of this month. Its unsafe to operate my truck, and it must remained park in the garage intil someone stops draging there feet and issue the recall. Yes I am very upset, as with many others

The transmission in my truck has been having problems starting on 9/25/18. On 7/21/22, Grey Chrysler replaced the solenoid in the trans and also did an update. When I brought truck back after the same code, PO871, was thrown again on 08/30/22, I was told the warranty company couldn-€™t recreate the problem so they would not be fixing my trans. This is the same trans that is in the 2019-2022 Ram 2500 trucks and has a recall on it for the SAME problem.

On multiple occasions the shift arm would not move while vehicle was in park and foot brake was depressed. Seemed like the safety device that prevents an automatic shifting arm from slipping out of park without brake depressed did not release. Vehicle was on flat level ground, the only way to correct problem required shutting vehicle off and then restarting. Once this process was conducted the safety device operated normally. In the three years of ownership this has happened three times and each time my resolution worked.

The contact owns a 2018 Ram 3500. While the vehicle was in park, it automatically shifted into reverse and collided with a fence. The vehicle sustained rear end damage. There were no warning indicators illuminated. The contact suffered minor injures that did not require medical attention. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The dealer and manufacturer were not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 300. We ran the tests as requested. With the first 2 tests, the shift lever would not move from park without having your foot on the brake. The 3rd test determined there is no indicator chime or message if you leave the vehicle with it running whether the parking brake is on or not. We also tested to see what the truck would do if we put it in neutral in the position he had the truck at the time of the accident, it immediately went forward. Lastly we tested for the in between park and reverse probability. We found there is definitely a position between P and R where the shift lever will go into and you are able to exit the truck. No indicator/warning given at this point but the P was flashing. While sitting in the truck and it being in this in between position the truck did not move forward or back. So in this position the truck acts as if it's in park not neutral as it does not roll forward. Also while in this in between position you can drop the lever down into reverse without applying the brake. As you stated, there is no way for us to safely check to see how long the truck would stay in this in between position once leaving the truck. We do know it will stay for some amount of time as we tested that without leaving the truck. The lever does slide down into reverse very easily from this in between position. Some with a level to show the slope and damages. The consumer stated there were no more occurrences due to the fact they are conscientiously using the parking brake 'parts of this document have been redacted to protect personally ide

My vehicle was parked at operating temperatures and I switched to 4X4 lock. As I accelerated slightly at 3 miles an hour in reverse while turning the steering column clockwise the truck began to shake while in motion for roughly 7 feet. It also shook as I accelerated in drive slightly at 3 miles an hour while turning the steering column counter clockwise. It had the same shake in 4X4 low.
