pulls to one side while braking

did not brake evenly at freeway speed (pulled to the left)

Advice to anyone with this car (or any car for that matter), find a way to test the brake system's ability to stop in a straight line at freeway speeds without pulling to one side. I was fortunate to react quickly to keep from rolling the car or injuring myself and other drivers. The circumstances should NOT have resulted in an accident. I had 5-6 car lengths, good tires, good reaction to traffic slowing from 60 mph to 20 mph. But the brakes pulled me from #1 lane into center divider, after which I bounced into #2 lane where another car hit my passenger side doors. Air bags did not activate (?!?!?) so I managed to back the vehicle to the center shoulder out of traffic.
