I own a 2007 Saturn Outlook. The front passenger airbag does not work properly. Not always engaging when a passenger over 100 lbs is sitting in the seat. Sometimes the airbag light switches back and forth from on to off and then usually stays off. After turning the vehicle off and restarting, or having the passenger jump up and down on the seat, it may engage the airbag, but not always. This also concerns me the seatbelt tension is triggered based on the airbag bag light being on or off. When the airbag light is off, and the passenger unbuckles the seatbelt, the seatbelt warning light is not engaged! we have had this problem since we purchased the vehicle new. The Saturn dealer could not locate the problem and said to bring it back when it happens again. Each time they tell us it is working, although we have taken multiple photos to show it does not work properly. It appears there was a recall for the front airbags, however nothing was received for my vehicle (VIN). This is a major safely issue and needs to be corrected before an accident happens.

My 2007 Saturn Outlook passenger presence system is not recognizing an adult sitting in the front passenger seat. By the vehicle not recognizing the adult the passengers airbag is not armed in the event of a front end crash. I took the vehicle to a GM dealership who is replacing the pps for $1000. Huge safety concern and expensive repair. The pps was recalled in 2008 by VIN but mine was not included. This should be re-addressed.

The contact owns a 2007 Saturn Outlook. The contact stated that she was sitting in the front passenger seat when she noticed that the air bag light was not illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealership where she was informed that the passenger present module was defective but her vehicle was not included in recall 07V062000 (air bags:frontal:sensor/control module). The vehicle had not been repaired at the time of the complaint. The contact called the manufacturer but was offered no assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 42,000. The current mileage was approximately 43,000.

I own a 2007 Saturn Outlook xe. The front passenger airbag does not appear to engage when my wife who weighs 120 pounds sits in the seat. There is a light in the dash that toggles on or off based on if someone is in the passenger seat. Many times when I'm driving and my wife is in front passenger seat, the light will be "passenger airbag off" mode. If I shut down the vehicle, it sometimes corrects itself appears "passenger airbag on". this problem is sporadic. I've had the dealer check it several times, but they say it is working correctly. However, as recently as May 30th, the problem occurred again, the day after the dealership inspected the issue.

Problems with passenger airbag - sometimes it would say off when a passenger is seated and sometimes it would say on and then turn off after some time. Had to have work done on the fuel pump, then the drive shaft went to the point where it car had to be towed. I was told that this never happens. Currently, the car now kicks back when the car is first moved for that day and the dash board will flash, either, speed limited to 108pmh (when pulling out of driveway), park assist is off (when it is on),or traction control is off (when it has never been touched) - the car will also shut off without me doing so. I have taken it to a Saturn dealership and they say that they can find anything wrong with the car. I am currently five months pregnant and I do not feel safe in the car. When the car kicks back it hurts.

After a continuous problem with several items on our 2007 Saturn Outlook it was taken to dealership. While in for repairs we told them the passenger airbag did not work consistently. We even later sent video showing it off when a 130 lb passenger was in the seat... and the car was going 50mph down the road. They still say it is working properly. The airbag is on one minute, then off... dealer says there are no error codes, however it should be on with 130lb person in the seat each and every time.. not just when it notices they are there.
