What can I say. The new car shut down randomly. On the road. The first time was a complete and total shutdown. Not even the On Star would turn on. I had to push the car home until AAA came to tow it. Being 2 months old, it was still under warranty. After a week, they gave it back. Then, it didn't totally shut down, but it did randomly lose power briefly. For about five seconds, when going down the road (back roads, city roads, stopped at red lights, no pattern), it would just power down. It always came back up, but it was five seconds of blackout. During the next several months, the car was repeatedly taken to 2 different GM dealerships, but they claimed that they could find no problem. When this caused my wife to get rear ended (again, GM claimed they could find no problem) that was enough, and we traded in a six month old car back to GM.
