Had to replace the head gasket. Toyota engines normally last a very long time but it seems they are not built the same way they did a few years back. They definitely lost a customer in me.

Scion motors are designed poorly. This engine has had detailed care ever since it was new. After only 104,000 miles; the engine failed. I expected this car to last several hundred thousand miles. It only lasted to just beyond the factory warranty. I want to recommend to all my friends that they stay away from one of the Toyota engines. They do not last; and should be considered a poor substitute for cars made in the USA.
