problem #2

Forester XT Limited 2.5L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 53,450 miles

While driving home making a left hand turn, there was snap sound in the right front corner of my driver seat, the whole corner of the seat went down about 1.5 inches, after reading online that the framework bracket has a known problem for the weld breaking I am making an appointment to see if the dealer will do anything to fix it. I hope it can be fixed without major cost. it feels very unstable having the seat corner move freely.

Forester Sport 2.5x

  • Automatic transmission
  • 75,000 miles

The driver seat left side collapsed while driving. We looked at it and was able to obviously temporarily repair it as it just broke again. One of the things I love about this car is the comfort and adjustability of the seats.. this problem just blows that right out of the water. When I called the dealer..a new seat would be almost $2000!! Forget it.. I would rather trade it in and go with a different brand of vehicle. Subaru isn't what they say it is.
