Forester

  • Automatic transmission
  • 30,000 miles

Agree, slow to engage and noisy. Was under warranty until a month ago. Took it in before expiration, AGAIN, and again they said nothing wrong. We are over 81k now and warranty is up. This is a terrible transmission and Subaru just tells us that they did it because it's fuel efficient and they really don't care about how annoying it is. Very frustrating.

Forester

  • Automatic transmission
  • 90,000 miles

The transmission works, but the car really struggles when pushed. The transmission is slow to engage and noisy and jerky when it does. When driving under normal conditions it works well, it's just that sometimes you need to push the car a bit and when you do it complains. I don't believe there is a solution, it is a design fault
