The lock for the telescopic function of the steering column gets unlocked while driving. Many a times the steering collapses whilst driving. Its been happening very frequently since the time I have owned this car. Apparently I have to replace the whole steering column assembly, costing >$1200. 00. I have been proactively checking the lock every 10 - 20 mins of driving to avoid the collapse of the steering.

Other issue is when I use the turn signals and move the steering in the intended direction, I hear a ticking sound. There is no sound when I dont use the turn signals.

I also seem to get vibrations through the steering column with a certain rhythm.

THE LEVER THAT LOCKS THE TELESCOPIC STEERING WHEEL IN POSITION WILL RANDOMLY FALL CAUSING THE COLUMN TO COLLAPSE UNDER ANY PRESSURE. HAPPENS WHEN DRIVING, IS NOW HAPPENING EVERY TWO OR THREE TRIPS... IS THERE A FIX???
