Avalon Limited

  • Automatic transmission
  • 15,000 miles

The car has a loud clunk when trying to turn right. Left side. It has same noise loud clunk when going slowly out a drive way, backing up, or going slowly over speed bumps. In addition, extremely stuff suspension. Feels like driving a truck. I have been to the dealer twice since March. This time I was notified that the dealer cannot identify what the issue is, but confirm there is a problem with the car. Must call factory out to try to figure out how to fix this car. This is the high end Avalon touring model. I wouldn't recommend the car.

Avalon Touring 3.5L

  • Automatic transmission

Suspension system is another flaw in this car. It is very hard almost like my previous car VW CC, but gives you NO handling control. It is not a stiff car by all means, but you just feel all bumps with a dull sound. I always thought hard suspension comes with stiff car and great handling power, like CC, but this car broke that rule- forget about coming out of the ramp on to the highway with greater speed then on the speed signs- it literally slips out.

Sometimes when I read some professional reviews "new 2013 Avalon, great handling etc..." my blood is boiling! What are they comparing it to... what car did they drive before... I guess all those commercial reviews are like news- nothing is true!
