problem #1

Camry SE 3.5V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 94,000 miles

a/c compressor failed at 94000 miles, dealer said it was normal would cost 2400.00 to fix, Had a 2003 camry le with 170000 miles for ten years never touched a/c, worked perfect, 2007 camry with 13000 miles no problem with ac, this is is highly unusual I think this compressor is defective, but as usual toyota would not admit it, I am going to fix using after market compressor total cost 700 dollars, what do i have to lose if denso compressor only last four years, I do not think it is worth it to fix at toyota, I will take my chances elsewhere. toyotas are good cars, but they do not like to admit to liability.
