Toyota will repair the ticking in your sunroof/moonroof if you're in warranty but if you're out of warranty, even by a month, don't even bother going in to get it diagnosed by a dealer because then it shows up on your records when you do a VIN Check which will backfire on you if you don't plan to pay the $850 to have a dealer fix it.

In my opinion they should cover it because it's a design flaw on their part, but they don't.... life lesson learned about buying a used car.. I've learned to ignore it and pretty much doesn't bother me too bad anymore but I'll likely not buy another Toyota. The car had 22K miles and was four months out of warranty when I bought it, and 23 K miles and six months out of warranty when I tried to get them to cover some of the cost. No deal.

Can't believe nobody else hasn't brought up the ticking noise from the moonroof yet on this car if you get a car with a moonroof.. from what I've read on forums it's somewhat common...
