On May 25, 2017, while pulling into parking space at a shopping center, my 2014 Toyota Camry accelerated out of control thru the parking space without me pressing the gas pedal. I pressed the brakes and it did not stop the car. My car continued to travel at a high rate of speed thru the parking lot embankment and went thru brushes/shrubs which is where the car stopped after it blew a tire and was stopped by the shrubs. Due to the damage under the car it was a total loss.

Ac condenser unit plugs and creates mold and bad smell from vents. Mold causes people with allergies to start having reactions. In addition, there is concern that the accumulated water may then leak through a seam in the housing onto the air bag control module potentially resulting in a short circuit of the module. A short circuit may cause the air bags to become disabled or inadvertently deploy. This is similar to 2013 Camry model recall. NHTSA campaign number: 13V442000. I think the recall should extend to 2014 Camry model as well.

Since we purchases this car in 2014, we have experienced the gas pedal being pushed to the floor and the car not moving. The Toyota service department says we had our foot on the brake and gas pedal at the same time. Which is not true. All times the auto was in motion and we stepped on the gas to get up to highway speed. 2nd. The driver side rights rough, and when a pot hole is hit with the left wheel it sounds like metal hitting metal. When going into a right turn 65-75 mph the auto feels like it is skipping off the road, to a point it does not feel safe. We have records from Toyota service department, going back to Oct. 2014. We appreciate what you can do. [xxx], [xxx], E-mail [xxx] information redacted pursuant to the Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).

Weird smell comes out of the air conditioning vents when the ac compressor is activated. The smell indicates mold buildup within the vents. There are many other online forums that mention this problem as well. This is a safety concern due to public health (some people are deathly allergic to mold) and may cause driver impairment as a result. Various Toyota dealerships in the area offered services to replace the venting system, but that's expensive and not under warranty they say. I am lucky that it's only when I have circulation on with the air conditioner running. I do not notice it with heating the interior as others have mentioned. I feel that this is a growing problem for these model years (2012-2014) of Camry. This smell occurs whether the vehicle is in motion or not, but it does seem to go away when not in circulation mode on the climate controls.

My vehicle was parked in front of my house and the sunroof exploded/shattered. My car was brand new when I got it a year ago. I'm not sure if it had a defective glass or what. I do recall it was a hot day though. However, how come the sunroof glass is not made out of laminated glass as the windshield. Thank goodness I was not driving at that time. We should definitely have sunroof safety standards.

Driving at 50mph when I heard a loud "pop" at first I thought it was a gunshot. I continued to drive only to hear a rattling noise, I slid back the sunroof cover to notice the sunroof had exploded. I contacted Toyota usa to no avail, only to be told they have no recalls. I googled the 2014 Toyota Camry exploding, low and behold there were several other complaints identical to mine!

We bought a brand new 2014 Toyota Camry, and there's a mold problem in the ac. It smells aweful. The chemical spray they use to fix it doesn't work. When they spray it, it smells even worse for several days, but then it always comes back. It costs $100 each treatment. Spent $$ trying other products, but nothing seems to work. Very costly and no remedy.

First, I don't own Toyota Camry, but every time I drive following behind it that brake lights (led) are so bright that hurts my eyes and makes my vision blotches for awhile. I believe this is unsafe. I hope our government can investigate this and see if those led used in Camry complies safety standard.

My 2014 Camry has less than 20,000 miles on it and I am about to be on my 3rd cabin filter due to a moldy smell in my car. I bought this car for my wife brand new and I have complained to the dealership multiple times about this issue. They have accepted the fault and in April of this year they replaced the cabin filter free of charge. Less than 6 months later it has gone bad again, the car smells moldly and my child and wife are surrounded by this moldy smell whenever the A/C is on. I have filed a complaint with Toyota with the request for them to buy-back this vehicle from me as every other vehicle I have owned doesn't need a cabin filter until 50-60K miles. Toyota has acknowledged this issue and fault. I was advised to place a complaint at this time here since this odor is effecting my families health. Toyota has been slow returning my calls and has advised me that this process will take over 30 days from here.
