Camry XLE 2.0

  • Automatic transmission
  • 1,000 miles

If we had known how awful the “Scout” (or whatever they call it) navigation/GPS system is, we would have opted for the other navigation system that was offered at the time of sale. God, this thing is terrible! We had so hoped to not have to have wire(s) hanging around but we find that our old Garmin GPS system is much better and less aggravating, so we use it instead. We didn’t realize the inadequacy of the system in the new car until we tried to use it while on a trip and we have hated it ever since.

Otherwise, the car is great. Well, another cigarette lighter socket would be handy, especially since we are using one to plug in the Garmin... If Toyota does not placate us in some way, we might have to go with a different make next time, although this is my wife’s 4th Toyota. Those Maximas and Accords are starting to look bettered better and I hope they know that I will tell my 1000+ Facebook friends the same thing!

Camry XSE 3.2lV6

Navigation system (not Entune) does not indicate whether destination is on the right or left. Car has been in dealership for 4 working days and they are in contact with Toyota tech dept who can't figure out solution or what is causing the probem. Tech thinks it has something to do with free subscription to the cloud being discontinued. I have other cars with navi systems and never had this problem.
