Highlander Hybrid 3.2L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 235,000 miles

I have to check the oil all the time so the engine doesn't lock up. That is a real pain in the ass and costly too.

Highlander Hybrid Hybrid V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 107,723 miles

When our Highlander had 100925 miles it started using oil intermittently. First time was after a appx 200 mi trip and the oil light came on. I checked the dip stick and it barely registered any thing on the stick. I filled it up with oil and changed oil and filter when I got home. It seemed to be fine and not using oil. Then at 107000 appx It barely registered on the dip stick again so I had the oil and filter replaced. So I kept a close eye on it and it was fine. I checked it before I did the same 200mi trip and when I got up there it was 1/2 qt low so I put in 1/2 qt and when I got hm it didn't use any oil. I called Toyota and they were ciueless.
