Highlander Hybrid Limited 3.2L V6

This is a manufacturing defect. Toyota service bulletin T-SB-0091-12 covers this problem. Technicians for Toyota were instructed to act only on complaint by the customer. The picture in the service bulletin shows the left rear hatch hinge warped, causing resistance which stops the door from operating. This should have been a recall for this vehicle.

Update from Mar 12, 2019: Took vehicle to dealer. Required repair completed. It cost me over $2500 in parts and labor to fix. No responsibility of manufacture defect accepted by Toyota.
