problem #4

Nov 012014

RAV4 LE 4

  • Automatic transmission
  • 32,000 miles

Snow, dirt and/or ice gathers at the bottom of the door. Poor design. Never had this happen in any other car I owned. Weatherstripping along frame of car does nothing to prevent this from happening. I suspect it's only a matter of time before the bottom of the door rusts out.

This vehicle has a design flaw in the bottom of the doors.

It is impossible to wash the dirt or ice which remains at the bottom of the door when you go to the car wash.

I think that Toyota Canada and the dealers should inform the customers of this bad design before finalizing the sale.

It is misrepresentation not to warn customers of this poor design.

problem #2

Nov 202013

RAV4 LXE 4cyl

  • Automatic transmission
  • 1,500 miles

Constant ice and snow buildup on the inside of doors. Must be scraped every time it snows. Rav owners deserve a fix for this or allow us to take the vehicle back to the dealer. If I had known this before I bought the Rav I would have selected another model.
