It is hard to pull out and the belt is not tied enough. I did bring to the dealer for recall, but they dont confirm that they fix/replace or not. The consumer stated the seat belt was repaired under recall but, still failed.

Previous owner removed driver airbag and seat belt harness (webbing only) due to recalls. The part that caused the recall for the seat belt is still attached to the vehicle. Local dealership will not honor recall. Contacted Toyota (case #[xxx]) and they too will not honor the recall. Information redacted pursuant to the Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).

Never received recall on the airbags" safety harness in the back seats where my rand kids ride will not tighten up. Leaf-springs bow up in the middle not down" have replaced U-joints more times then on my 97 Ford. Plus carrier bearings because of the leaf springs and stopped driving it because it goes back and forth on the road. My rear end howls and needs replaced because the rear end is higher then the tranny but there has been 7 recalls on this model and only found out about them on line. You must be doing a better job or your fired!!! lol but if you care I thank you but at least make them fix these safety issues, or at least make us aware of them instead of hiding them. Don't let them get away with ripping americans off. To do so is no better then them.

The contact owns a 2006 Toyota Tacoma. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign numbers: 13V337000 (seat belts) and 14V604000 (suspension). The parts were not available within a reasonable timeframe to schedule the recall repairs. The dealer did not give a specific date for when the part would become available. The contact replaced the total spring assembly. The manufacturer could not provide an estimated date for when the contact's vehicle would receive the recall repair. The contact had to replace the part associated with the rear leaf spring assembly due to the part prematurely deteriorating and not being able to receive the part from the dealer for almost a year. The approximate failure mileage was 75,000.

The passenger side seat belt retractor is not working properly. Took my truck to the dealer last summer to get repaired. I asked him if he could tighten the seat belt retraction tension and he told me that he could not without replacing the entire seat belt retractor. The service manager told me that a seat belt tensioner bolt had come loose causing the retractor to malfunction. Tightening the bolt would not fix it. The cost of the part to fix it was approx. $250. Since my truck is out of warranty, they were not going to fix it for free. The passenger's side seat belt in my truck gets used approx. 1/10 the amount of time the driver side does. I am having no problem with the driver's side. Since my truck has very low mileage, this is obviously a manufacturing defect. This is a safety issue which can affect the operation of the seatbelt and the passenger side airbag.

The contact owns a 2006 Toyota Tacoma pickup truck. Since the vehicle was purchased he smelled fuel inside of the vehicle after starting it. The dealer could not duplicate the failures. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer to repair the vehicle; however, the contact does not know what component was repaired. He also stated the driver's side seat belt sensor failed and the seat belt off warning light illuminated on the warning panel. The dealer confirmed that the sensor had failed. No repairs were made to the seat belt. The failure and current mileages were under 65,000.
