Hey it's me again. Took my 2011 Toyota Tacoma for a check for cracked headlight lens. Upon arriving I asked if they had a drink machine to buy me a drink. one of the tech advised me that they had free coffee free drinks, free hot chocolate and free cookies and free bagles offered in the waiting room and I replied to him mmmmm java. and thank him for his courtesy I had my phone, keys in hand. and walked to the waiting room in this brand new dealership was very impressed with the dealership and was looking forward to the hot cup of coffee.the cups they offer are actually12oz cups but I pushed 6oz and got a bagel and put blueberry creme on it. So here is how it went down. As I was trying to juggle a half cup of hot coffee and a bagel car keys and a phone I accidently spilled some coffee on my arm..This was my fault by all means but it was the aftermath that upsetted me by far. I had asked the service writer that I was dealing with if they had a first aide kit so I could at least put a burn cream or even a burn spray on my arm. my arm had blistered instantly and was very red and when I pulled my sleeve back to see I had actually pull the blister back and exposed the wound even more. the service writer did ask about the first aide kit but no first aide kit was found. I then asked if anyone had a bandaid available and he did get me a band aid. As I was waiting o the results for the headlight lens it began to burn even more and I then went to talk with management about the first aide kit. Still with no luck they had no first aide kit. I had replied to the management that isnt a first aide kit required in the work place in case an employee got injured and got no reply from management. they did offer me ice however lol. I ended up going to APP Urgent Care to get the wound looked at and attended to whice did come out to be a third degree burn . Here is some good advise for any corporation that deals with any type of customer. keep a first aide kit on the premises at all time. never know when anyone going to mash a finger or get a papercut. of if you offer free hot anything possibly getting burnt.
