Toyota makes good engines and trans, but the frames on trucks are sh*t, always rust. We are in 2018 and still not using good materials yet.

My Tacoma has an awful lot of rust on the frame and all the metal surrounding it. Since my vin # was not on the recall it is not covered. I now have 30,500 miles and its only a 2012 Toyota you would think it will not rust at all. I've had toyota since 1988 and never a bad rust like this one. Who can help me on this?

Brought truck back to a dealership on the conditional recall of rusted frame when I received the notice a few months ago. Was told by dealership that it was not significant enough.
Recently a/c stopped working - compressor. Brought to mechanic - because dealership is not reliable. I was told by mechanic that he wouldn't even work on it because everything underneath is rusted. Afraid once started taking things apart everything would crumble. Don't even tow with it he said!
