Tacoma TRD Offroad 4.0L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 100 miles

Since I purchased the vehicle I have noticed problems with the suspension being "Soft". Light offroading in Rough/Dry terrain and the front struts are constantly bottoming out, causing an unpleasant ride. Recently towing my Boat (3,250lbs) with associated camping gear, every bump in the highway would cause the rear suspension to violently hit the rubber stops.

I found that Toyota issued TSP's on repairs from front struts leaking and an upgrade from the rear 2 Leaf to a 3 leaf system. I took the vehicle back to the Dealership where purchased and was told that these do not apply to my model of vehicle.

I bought the vehicle as "Off-Road" branded, unless I spend $3k+ in aftermarket parts and essentially void the warranty, the vehicle is not Off-Road capable.
