Atlas SEL V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 10,250 miles

I like the Atlas for several things but I feel there are TWO things I feel need attention. #1, I have to turn off the Auto Start function every time I go to drive the car. It would be better if it were a permanent switch that would stay where you put it and if you want that function then hit the switch! #2 The front collision sensor is too low and every time I try to drive out of our church parking where there is a downward drive way pitch and then it goes into the upward pitch of the road creating the crown of the road and when I pull out the car goes into a four wheel braking with car sensors thinking it is hitting something and while this is happening cars are closing down on us and we feel it being very unsafe and possibly creating a accident!!!! Note the drive way is a small drive way pitch and the crown in the road isn't much either so I am worried what happens in the snow? I believe it could be moved up in the grill and fix the problem and this is the one that is Dangerous!!!

Update from Dec 10, 2018: I took the atlas to the VW dealer and they checked the car out and everything is still the same today it slammed the brakes on trying to drive out of my drive way and I live in Southern Calif. which hardly gets any rain so the driveways are not very steep and yet it slams the brakes on for no reason. I believe this to be very dangerous!!!VW had the Atlas 12/03/18 and again nothing is done!!
