Atlas SE W/ Technology V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 1,200 miles

As other contributors mentioned, excessive sound when traveling at high speed. I haven't gotten it at 45 mph like others, or maybe I'm just not as tuned in. I hear it over 65 mph.

Can’t believe they didn’t use the double seals that are installed on most prev versions of vws.

Even my old Jetta has a double seal.

Look at the top of the door - It’s a single blade seal.

I hope Volkswagen has a fix for the problem and not just sit on it.

Atlas SEL Premium 3.2L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 920 miles

I just bought a 2018 VW Atlas SEL Premium. My wife and I loved it until we took it out for a long drive on the open highway. Above 45 mph there is a nonstop, annoying wind noise that comes through the window gasket. We could hear it even with the radio on. I took the vehicle back to the dealer to have it checked out. The salesman was nice enough to have me take another Atlas SEL out to see if it had the same issue. After driving the second Atlas, the same noise was also noticed above 45 mph. This is a design flaw of the window or door gasket that needs to get fixed by VW.

Atlas SE 3.6VR

  • Automatic transmission
  • 50 miles

A few car reviewers already noticed that Atlas has excess wind noise. Yes, it is very annoying in over 50 mph because it is like the whistle of the wind. If VW had the wind tunnel test, they won't let it. This is such a stupid mistake. VW should fix this. No one wants to drive their new car with annoying sounds.

Love my VW but the wind rushing sound is something we have been trying to fix too. We will try the weather stripping to see if that is it. The first attempted fix did not work.
