Takata recall. I left my car at VW open road in manhattan 09/19/2016 around 11:20am for a recall fix, they said it will be available 4pm, they called me 5:42pm telling me there is a problem, you have a lot of thing that need to be fixed like engine, front tires.. and the list is long.. they asked me to pay $199 fees in order to just check everything and then let me know how much I have to pay.., instead of them fix the 2 recalls I have in that car and apologize to me, they trying to throw the ball back to so it sound like my problem and I have to pay, it's not theirs !!! they asked me to get a new car and of course I have to pay for the new car they said, I didn't even finish paying for my affected one yet... I'm really disappointed, angry, especially that I need this car for my work... I still left the car there in order for them check what needs to be fixed and of course they said I have to pay for it... what customer service is this "??"!!!

Takata air bag recall. I live in Florida and it has been reported that states with high humidly and hotter temperatures can cause the air bags to implode. Based on the aforementioned as well as the actual recall I would like to know when this will be rectified. Many of my friends have had their vehicles recall for airbags repaired or at least provided a rental car until a fix is available. VW has offered me nothing.

Takata recall - today after endless waiting for the dealer to be able to repair the airbags in our 2011 VW Cc my wife and I decided to trade this car in as we felt the risk for airbag related injuries in the event of a deployment were not worth keeping the car. We were shocked to find that dealerships will not even take this car in on trade due to the open recall without remedy. We feel we are now forced to drive a vehicle with a known safety defect that increases our chance of injury and/or death in the event of an airbag deployment. I asked a local VW dealer to buy the car but their offer was far below fair value because they stated the car would have to sit until they could fix the issue. They offer no buy back program that is fair to the consumer or loaner car until this could be resolved. Again resulting is my family being forced to drive a vehicle with a known safety issue. I am shocked by this being allowed. I spoke with VW customer service center who also offered no timeframe or options for me and my family. I fault not only takata for not supplying the replacement parts in a timely manner but also Volkswagen for not offering any viable options for me to make sure my family is traveling in a safe vehicle. Please put pressure of both takata and the manufactures to remedy this situation quickly so we can either get our vehicle repaired or trade it in for a vehicle that is safe to drive. While driving my steering wheel controls stopped functioning to include my horn, airbag, esp, and traction control. After researching the web I found this is a common issue on all VW models and occurs around 40,000 miles. Apparently the VW clockspring in the steering column assembly has a design flaw, and there is no recall at this time.
