Jetta 4-cyl

My 2000 Jetta ran dry on oil at 21,000 miles but not under 2yr bumper to bumper warranty (6K miles after a factory oil change). They did a consumption test for 1500 miles and assured us everything was ok. It was ok for 1500 miles then it was empty again. They had to change the piston rings and pretended that this was a unique problem for our car. I have since read other reports of similar experiences.
