On my 2019 Volkswagen Jetta I am having the same issue that the recalled Volkswagen Atlas SUV's are having. When the car is running I get a Air Bag error on my dashboard and the Air Bag turned off light stays on. This also happens when a passenger is seated in the front passenger side seat. It doesn't happen all the time but has about 5 times in the last couple of weeks.

I was in a head on collision where the other person crossed the line and two empty lanes to hit me head on. This WAS in may 2021. Not one single warning was used by forward collision sensors. No emergency braking was applied. My airbags were not deployed and this man hit me doing at least 35 miles an hour and also I was forward moving even though I was applying my brakes. The car was totaled. Yet not a single warning sound or light or indicator once went off. I also paid extra for the Volkswagen carnet services. Never once did they come over the speaker to ask if I was ok. To tell me I had been in an accident or ask if I needed them to send help. In essence these services failed me completely. I do not understand why I was not included in any of the airbag recalls or settlement information I have heard about. All of the Extra features and functions I paid all the extra money to have - every single one failed me when I needed it. This vehicle left me without the protections it promised.

While driving yesterday afternoon, the electrical system shut down thrice. Everytime i had to restart the car. When it shuts off it pops up a notification that says -€œPlease check the starter system-€. Reddit has many complaints regarding the 2019 Jetta Shutoff problem while driving. https://www.reddit.com/r/jetta/comments/p5pmti/2019_jetta_shut_off_while_driving/

I was in a collision in my 2019 Volkswagen Jetta. Upon impact the airbags deployed, however the airbag that deployed from the steering wheel gave me a severe laceration/burn on my forearm in the shape of the Volkswagen emblem. This is problematic, as the function of airbags is to keep you safe, not to provide additional injury.

The contact owns a 2019 Volkswagen Jetta. The contact stated that while operating the vehicle, the front passenger-€™s side air bag system had erroneously deactivated while a passenger was seated in the seat. Occasionally, the system activated while no passenger was seated in the seat. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, but the failure could not be duplicated, and no issue was found. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 900.

Vehicle rear-ended on a busy day between 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm on a Thursday. All the air-bags in the car deployed. The driver side air-bag stayed inflated for a long time, and the right side air-bag also did not deflate. Inflated air-bag held the driver so tight, and the driver could not exit out of the accident car. Simultaneously seat also held the driver so tight. The driver suffered a significant injury fracturing his sternum. The car was less than 40 mph at the time of the incident. The manufacturer downloaded the electronic data record from the car and never shared it with the driver despite the written request. Driver feels brake may have failed. Driver has to slide out of the car as the side air bag stayed inflated. Picture attached shows air-bag staying inflated even after 10-25 mins and started to go down slowly.

The passenger side airbag light intermittently lights up. Sometimes immediately when starting the car, other times while driving and sometimes everything works fine. At times when the light is on during startup it stays on for quite a while (many miles) it may then go off or not. Also, when the passenger seat occupant moves on the seat the light may or may not go off. I took the car to a VW dealer who could not find anything wrong and told me "well, the seabelt works, doesn't it?"

The car is displaying an error, ir says. 'error:airbag'. is displaying the airbag light on and the passenger airbag as disabled. (the light is located in the central dash) and it goes of if you drive, my car is a week new, and I'm about to take it to the dealer. I got pictures of the messages if you want. The problem show when you turn the ignition switch on, and then when you drive for a 15 minutes it keeping reminding the problem and then magically goes off.
