Igniton coil #3&4 went out on 10/15. Drove to dealer who informed I was not supposed to drive care while MLA light is flashing...should have had it towed. Car was repaired (parts replaced) same day. 2 weeks later on 11/4, coil #3 went out AGAIN. Drove to dealer...replaced same day. 1 week later, coil #1 went out. Informed that VW now has a "new" replacement part, but had to wait to get from mfg. Car out of svc for 1 week. Dealer called to say coil #1 was fixed but...oh by the way...coil #2 had gone out in the meantime!!!! Car out of svc another week. Contacted VW Customer Svc line requesting that the 2 remaining ignition coils (still having the "old" part) be replaced to prevent having to return to the dealership in a few days when they also went bad. VW reviewed the problem for a week and informed me (finally) that the replacement had been approved and they were just waiting on the parts from the mfg. The next day, the dealership called back and said VW was refusing to replace the parts!!! Which means that the incompetents in the customer svc group LIED to me!!! Still trying to escalate this within VW Customer Svc, but not feeling optimistic after reading other owner experiences. I'm going to put a sign in my car window (if I'm ever able to drive it again) to "Ask me about my VW...and why you should not buy one!!"
