I am writing to complain about the control arms on the VW 2002 Passat. I recently replaced an upper and lower control arm on the right and now have been told that I need to replace three of the four control arms on the left side. I fell these are a safety issue.

Front end/engine protector has separated from vehicle while driving. In both cases, the turn bolts on the left front and right side separated. A single central screw bolt at its front then supported the air dam. The plastic around it finally tore under vibration and air pressure forces.
