— Hyundai is recalling certain model year 2012-2013 Sonata sedans because the curtain side air bags can inflate without warning.
You can imagine the consequences if the air bag deployed while you're cruising down the highway at 65 mph.
Hyundai blames the problem on an error during manufacturing in vehicles manufactured from January 24, 2012, through June 21, 2012.
Your dealer will replace the curtain side air bags free of charge.
The recall is expected to begin August, 2012. Owners may contact Hyundai at 1-800-633-5151 and mention recall number 106.
The Sonata recall comes the same day Hyundai recalled certain Santa Fe vehicles for air bag problems.
