— Porsche is recalling certain model year 2010 911 GT3 vehicles because the rear wheel hubs can fail. You could lose control of the vehicle if the rear wheel hub fails.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration also said the suggested maintenance intervals may not be enough to prevent wheel hub failure. The vehicles included in the recall were manufactured May 15, 2009, through February 11, 2010.
The recall should begin this month. Porsche dealers will replace the wheel hubs on the rear axle. The recall notice that will be mailed will include updated service interval specifications to prevent the problem from recurring.
Owners may contact Porsche at 800-767-7243 and refer to recall number AC05.
