— Honda is recalling 652 model year 2014 Acura MDX vehicles equipped with trailer hitch harness kits.
Honda says the accessory wire harness was incorrectly assembled during production and could fail to power a trailer’s accessory brake controller.
The problem could cause increased stopping distances when towing a trailer equipped with an independent braking system.
The recall is expected to begin on August 23, 2013. Honda will notify owners and Acura dealers will correct the trailer hitch sub-harness wiring.
Owners may contact Acura at 800-382-2238 and give them recall number JB2.
