— BMW has ordered two recalls involving nearly 300 vehicles, with most of the recalled cars needing repairs to stop dangerous oil leaks that could cause fires.

Engine Oil Cooler Line Recall

BMW says 206 model year 2017-2018 M760Li xDrive cars have the wrong engine oil cooler lines installed that will cause oil leaks in the engine compartments.

Oil leaking onto a hot ignition source will be trouble, not to mention what will happen to braking ability if oil leaks onto the front brake discs.

The recall should begin August 7, 2017, when BMW dealers will replace the engine oil cooler lines in the M760Li xDrive cars.

Owners may contact BMW at 800-525-7417.

Tail Light Assembly Recall

BMW is recalling 92 vehicles in the U.S. that may have the wrong replacement left rear tail light assemblies. Recalled are the 2013-2015 BMW 740i, 740Li, 740Lxi, 750i, 750xi, 750Li, 750Lxi and 2014 ActiveHybrid 7 vehicles.

BMW says the vehicles need their tail light assemblies replaced, something that will begin August 7, 2017.

Affected owners with questions should call the automaker at 800-525-7417.
