— Jaguar Land Rover is recalling 220 model year 2016-2017 Land Rover Discovery Sport and Range Rover Evoque SUVs to keep them from going out of control on the roads.
Land Rover says the front lower control arm fasteners can fail due to problems that occurred during assembly. A bad fastener can cause a separation of the steering knuckle and leave the driver trying to handle a vehicle that shouldn't be on the road.
The recalled 2016-2017 Land Rover Discovery Sport SUVs were manufactured May 30, 2016, to August 24, 2016, and the 2016-2017 Range Rover Evoque SUVs were built June 7, 2016, to August 26, 2016.
The recall will begin on January 30, 2017, when dealers will replace the hardware that connects the front lower control arms to the knuckles.
Owners with questions should contact Land Rover at 800-637-6837 and use recall number Q650/Q651.
