— BMW is recalling 43 vehicles because drivers could lose control once the lower control arms break.

Recalled are the 2018 BMW X5 xDrive35i, X5 xDrive50i, X5 xDrive35d and X6 sDrive35i with pivot bolts on the front left control arms that may not have been properly hardened.

The recall will begin August 20, 2018, when dealers will replace the affected lower-left control arms.

BMW can be reached at 800-525-7417.

Separately, BMW is recalling five 2018 BMW X3 xDrive30i and X3 M40i vehicles because the rear turn signals on the outboard side panels will turn red, while the inboard turn signals simultaneously turn an amber color.

BMW will notify owners in August 2018 and replace the rear turn signal lights.
