— Land Rover is recalling nearly 190 model year 2018 Land Rover Range Rover Evoque convertibles because of defective tire pressure monitoring systems (TPMSs).

The SUVs, equipped with 20-inch wheels, have monitoring systems that may not have been set correctly at the plant. Land Rover determined the problem could cause a failure to warn a driver when the pressure of the tires is 25 percent below the recommended pressure for when the tires are cold.

The warning light on the instrument panel won't illuminate, something that's a violation of federal safety standards.

The 2018 Land Rover Range Rover Evoque convertible recall will begin March 23, 2018. Dealerships will make changes to the settings of the monitoring systems.

Concerned owners with questions should call the automaker at 800-637-6837 and ask about recall number N164.
