Takata recall. Dear NHTSA, Audi is unable to repair, replace, refund or repurchase my vehicle. This is affecting my ability to drive to work because I can not drive a car I don't feel safe driving in. Having a family member or a client on the passenger seat is not an option because it is dangerous. On December 2016 I asked Audi of America to repair the airbag but they couldn't because they don't have the parts; consequently, I requested Audi of America to buy the car back from me to which they answered the following: 'we sincerely apologize that Audi of America is unable to meet your expectation for a vehicle repurchase, we would like to inform you that the vehicle airbag will be repaired per NHTSA. At this time, we do not have a specific time frame available additionally, because the NHTSA will have oversight regarding the repair schedule for vehicles affected by this recall, parts allocation will be managed as per the Agency requirements.for additional details, please visit the following link https://www.safercar.gov/rs/takata/index.html we understand that this is not the information you are seeking, however this is the information available at this time. Audi of America will replace the affected airbags at no cost to our customers.' - Audi of America (March 2017) Audi will not buy the car back, and they are forwarding me to NHTSA to replace the takata psdi-5 driver frontal airbag. Please let me know what steps I should take to resolve this problem. Thank you sincerely.

Takata recall! please replace my airbag and provide me with a loaner vehicle immediately. I have an infant and refuse to put her or my loved ones at risk due to the negligence of the manufacturer. Contact me at once to resolve this! for the date, I've selected the day I bought the car, so I have been driving around in an unsafe vehicle with loves ones for over 10 years now. This is unacceptable!!!!!

Air bag recall taking too long. They keep saying that a repair is not yet available.

Takata recall I am unable to obtain any definitive information from the nearest dealer regarding when an airbag replacement can be done. The dealerships state that they do not have a loaner program. What can a consumer do to expedite a resolution to this matter?

Takata recall.I have had no information from Audi since the initial notice in April. My car will be 10 years old this coming April. According to news media there is suppose to be some priority status set based on age and location but I can not find what my priority is. Given the lack of action I would like my priority number or approval to disconnect this safety hazard!

Takata recall. No repair to this issue is available nor can I be given an estimate of the time frame involved from Audi of America. Yet other manufacturers such as Honda are already making the repairs. This is a complete outrage. If something happens to myself or family who is accountable for this issue?

Takata recall. The contact owns a 2007 Audi A3. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 16V079000 (air bags). The part needed for the repair was not available. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure. VIN tool confirms parts not available.

Takata recall I received a safety recall notice from Audi, a 69N2 notice stating that "takata has reported that the driver frontal airbag inflator could potentially rupture if the vehicle is involved in a crash where the frontal airbags are designed to deploy. In the event of an inflator rupute, metal fragments could pass through the airbag cushion material, which may result in serious injury or death to vehicle occupants." I called Audi usa today and was told that they currently have no repair program available to deal with this problem, they could not even provide an expected date for the repair to be available, and that loaner programs are not available nationally and it would be unlikely that my local dealer would be able to loan me a vehicle until such time as my car is repaired to a safe driving condition. This is clearly completely unacceptable so I would like to make a formal complaint against Audi. All I am requesting is the vehicle is repaired and if it cannot be repaired that I am provided with a safe car to drive in the interim period. I feel you need to be aware of the position Audi are taking in not providing remedy to such a lethal problem as I am left truly shocked at their lack of concern for the safety of their customers.
