During diagnosis for unrelated repairs, DTC U101D00 - 008 (Power steering control module - No communication) is logged in the Gateway, J533 (address word 19). No warning light is illuminated, and there is no customer complaint. There is a software issue with the power steering control unit that can lead to timed-out CAN messages. The issue only occurs when the ignition is switched off (terminal 15 off).
