"takata recall" while stopped at a red light, we were struck from behind by a vehicle who then ran from the scene.the impact was severe enough that my passenger, julie coppersmith lost consciousness for a few seconds from either hitting the dash or just from the violent movement forward. She was wearing her seat belt but the shoulder restraint failed and the airbag did not deploy. The malfunction was acknowledged on the cars information system.

The vehicles rdc module that communicates to the TPMS gets wet and causes a complete electrical system failure. This module on is located under the passenger rear wheel splash shield on the outside of the vehicle and is exposed to elements. This is a poor design and location. Failure happened during vehicle operation and even when off and it causes complete loss of all safety function. It seems to be a common issue when researching online.

When will the wiring recall for my car be completed" I need some sort of updated information, as my car is sitting due to signing a form stating I will not drive until the repairs are done. This is causing other issues such as dead battery, possible tire dry rot etc.... due to sitting for so long I'm the weather without moving. Will any other damages or faults be covered due to this"

Takata recall. Even though my car's driver's side airbag may contain the takata psdi-5 inflator, BMW has not issued a recall to replace it. I will not drive the car or let any of my family drive it until BMW replaces the psdi-5 inflator or determines that my car has a safe inflator. I spoke with a BMW-usa customer rep. On September 19, 2017 and his only answer to all of my questions and concerns was, "there is no recall on your car!" he would not even acknowledge the fact that there are over 800,000 BMW cars with faulty takata inflators yet to be replaced. I asked that my car be inspected and the inflator replaced if it was a psdi-5 or that BMW provide me a loaner car until they finally did fix mine. If my car contains the psdi-5 inflator it is as potentially deadly now as when BMW replaces it with a safe one and until they do, I will not drive the car. Will NHTSA help me in this situation?

Takata recall: Have been trying since March 3016 to get BMW to replace airbag under recall. I live in Florida (certainly hot & muggy!). called Aug. 14 and told it would be taken care of this week. Called today and they have not yet notified the dealer and "released" the airbag. Maybe next week. Fyi, this is taking forever in an environment that should be priority. Loaners not available.
