Passenger restraint system. Fault in passenger-restraint system affecting airbag, belt tensioner or belt-force limiter. The airbag stays off even after having a passenger on the front passenger seat. I also get a seatbelt sign even if the seatbelt is worn by the passenger. Went to dealer asking for $200 to check problem and $500 to repair.

2006 BMW 330I was not subject to recall and warranty repair of the occupant classification system (OCS for the passenger font airbag (si B 72 O2 06). Currently I have a airbag warning light indicating that the passenger airbag is not operating. The code suggests a faulty mat sensor. Other BMW's of the same model and year were subject to the recall. The BMW 330I was not included and should be. Reading on the E90 message board: www.E90post.com/forums/showthread.php?S=30bdacfbe250258ed6528ec55B5bb6A7&T=358892 confirms that this problem exists with the 330I model as well.

Since 2014 I have had to replace 3 oem rims for cracking. This has caused me much inconvenience and time and money to replace not only the rims but at times the tire itself. BMW's failure to disclose the fact that the BMW rtf alloy wheels prematurely crack is especially egregious in light of the safety hazard resulting from driving with a cracked wheel, due to the loss of tire pressure that typically ensues. Moreover, the possibility of a loss in tire pressure while driving the subject vehicles would be a material fact to a reasonable consumer. A case was awarded for the Z car model in the us and another for my model using this similar argument about the rims in the U.K. but BMW refuses to entertain it the BMW alloy wheels are subject to cracking under normal driving conditions, creating a safety hazard and necessitating replacement or repair of the wheel and sometimes the tire, at substantial cost to the consumer. Most recently, and most alarming, I received a "fault in passenger-restraint system affecting my airbag" when I started my car up two-weeks ago. I have done plenty of research and found that a BMW safety recall was made on the exact year and model (2006 BMW 330I), but my VIN is not covered because it did not come with the specific sport seats, it was called under. I do not understand if so many individuals in BMW forums are having this same issue without having the "sport seats" but we share the same model, make and year as the one NHTSA originally got recalled recalled, why my VIN is not covered. This is a huge liability on bmws end and no coincidence. Should I get in an accident with a passenger, the airbag will not deploy. Please help!!! www.nbcnews.com/id/26179745/

Vehicle has 2 recalls, the first one being for a passenger seat occupancy sensor which causes the passenger airbag to not deploy. I have called BMW denver downtown (303-954-4856) and thus far they have refused to perform the recall. They keep telling me they don't have the part for it. When asked for an eta, the only thing they are telling me is that they don't have an eta, and that the part may never be available. This is the only BMW dealer anywhere near my area that is able to perform the recall. My vehicle has the occupancy sensor error displayed on the dash, so I know for a fact the part covered under the recall has already failed. BMW of denver's failure to perform this recall is placing my family in danger in case of an accident.

I got home from an outting with friends and "passenger restraint systems malfunction" appeared on my screen. Did alittle research, my passenger seat airbag will either deploy metal shards or not deploy at all incase of an accident. Or the seatbelt will not properly engage. The dealership says they are "VIN specific" and can only do my driver side. But everybody seems to only have the passenger side problem. They have the sensor in stock that can save a life, but they don't want to do the job just because my "VIN" does not match for the recall in their computers!

I had both air bags replaced under the takata recall and now I'm getting a "passenger restraint system malfunction" error on my display. There is an open recall NHTSA campaign id number: 08V384000 that is for the same issue and for my model and year but the VIN is not showing that recall. The error happened just when the car was started and it shows whether someone is sitting in the passenger with the seatbelt on or if the seat is empty. I am worried that the airbag won't deploy in the case of an emergency. Please let me know if this would be included in the recall as well for a safety issue. I've called BMW and was told this would not be covered either.

Passenger seat airbag sensor toggles between active and inactive regardless of weight, or presence of an individual on the seat... with a passenger on it, it will also toggle between active/inactive regardless of the weight of the person (even an adult passenger will disable passenger airbag).. seems to be historical evidence of this failure and yet recall is not active. There is no certainty at this moment if airbag will be operational in a crash.

Passenger air bags and seat belt wont work and BMW wont fix. Electrical:radio, climate control, headlights and windshield washer pump. Window regulators. And the worst:learning from X_employees of BMW say that BMW purposefully miss-torques oil pan, valve cover and oil filter housing so the fail right after 50,000 mile warranty. Every E90 has these problems. And window regulators all except driver side. In motion.

Received notice 11/14/2016 regarding recall # 15V-318 driver's side airbag. Contacted the local dealer 11/18 who said parts were unavailable until year end. BMW's 800 number confirmed there was a shortage of parts in the region. This is at least a 6 week delay based on part availability. Unacceptable

"takata recall" BMW taking too long to correct the air bag recall issue. Since March 2016 I've lost the ability use the car due to defective takata airbag inflator and the potential to cause death due to air bag deployment. The car is now in pno status. BMW should be held responsible for any towing fees, to have the car towed to their facilities to correct air bag inflator.
