Summary
Sporadic Check Control Messages of the Driver Assistance System. Sporadically, a CCM (Check Control Message) is displayed advising that the Camera-based Driver Assistant system has failed. This is due to the vehicle interior reaching very high temperatures. During this failure, all KAFAS (Camera-based driver assistance systems) system functionalities are inoperative. The affected functionalities are: Pedestrian Detection Front Collision Warning Lane Departure Warning Speed Limit Info (if equipped) The following fault code is stored in the KAFAS control unit: 0x800AC0 - Switching off due to excess temperature Note: The system is functional after the interior temperature has cooled down or by cycling the ignition off and on again. Incorrect calibration of the temperature sensor in the KAFAS camera.
