Summary
"The calendar page has flipped to November and we are pleased to announce that you can now deliver and retail RDR the all new X5 (G05) once you have remedied all recalls/delivery stops. As previously communicated, ALL G05s will need to be flashed with updated software to enhance the customer experience - I-Level S18A-11-523. This straightforward appx. 45 minute flashing procedure will remedy either or BOTH the open KAFAS and BDC control unit stop sales (same remedy for each). Additionally, there a small number of G05s that will require more extensive technical service campaigns, thereof the most time consuming is the baffle seal repair (if applicable). Limited parts will be available next week for the baffle seal repair and BMW will reimburse dealers $260 for 1 month of floorplan expense on the baffle seal impacted vehicles only due to the delay of parts availability. BMW will automatically push that reimbursement out to affected dealers on the November parts statement. Attached are the latest details on all of the campaigns."
