This Preliminary Information communication provides information to the technician about vehicles with a CD player is inoperative. Technician should cycle power to the CD play and retest. If the CD player starts working advise the customer that we apologize for this inconvenience and that General Motors is working on a permanent solution for this concern. If the CD player is still inoperative technician will need to test the power and ground circuits. If no concern with power, ground, or connections, replace the Disc Player.
