The window went down all by itself and wouldn't come back up.

Both driver side windows stopped working the same day - one went down and wouldn't come back up while the other one was up and wouldn't move. Three months earlier I had a passenger side window go down and stop working. I wonder when the 4th window will fail....

I have an 02 Buick LeSabre, and three of the four window regulators have gone out in it. We have replaced one, but the cost was ridiculous! $170.00! I contacted Buick, and was told that they did not have enough complaints filed to do a recall, or to do anything about the problem. From some research I have done I have noticed this is a big problem. So please contact the Buick main office, and file a complaint if you are having this problem.

This is the 4th window regulator that I have had to replace. Never have I seen anything like this. see my other post back in 2007. I have replaced the right front in 2009 now the driver side GM should recall this piece of crap.

This is bullshit and definitley shows that General Motors doesn't have the backbone to stand accountable. THAT was evident by the way they took OUR taxpayer dollars for a, "bailout". Their management and quality assurance shows through and through.
I can see why FORD made it through the financial downturn in this nation and stands alone in making things work even in tough times, all by themselves without asking for or taking any public handouts.

We just got done repairing the passenger side window motor and now the left rear window is not operating and the glass won't stay up. This car only has 24,803 miles on it! The first window problem occurred at only 19,000!
This is bullshit and definitley shows that General Motors has a problem that they are not facing or being held accountable for!

Passenger side rear window regulator broke. This is the 3rd regulator to break on my 2002 Buick LeSabre Limited. Very frustrating. I have been told that General Motors puts in cheap plastic regulators. This should be recalled.

BACK REAR DRIVER SIDE WINDOW MOTOR BROKE, CAN'T RAISE WINDOW. AFRAID IF IT RAINS, IT WILL RUIN THE INSIDE AS I HAVE NO PLACE TO PLACE IT OUT OF THE RAIN!
- Sharon L., COCOA, FL, US
The drivers rear side window regular broke. It just fell down while driving. Now 2 of my windows don't work. The car repairman said that they are cheap plastic regulators for carry a metal cable and break very easily. He said that most of his repairs are for General Motors vehicles.

My 2002 Buick LeSabre Limited has had 3 window regulators break. One just fell down while I was driving. This was not covered by warranty. Very frustrating and cold.

Bought a 2002 Buick Le Sabre Limited used in 2007. It's been a great car except that the window regulators on all four windows have failed at least once and two of them have failed a second time (in total six window failures) with the most recent failing today. At approximately $500 a time this is ridiculous. Yes, we've tried the wedges, taping windows and the window switches shut but what an unsightly pain in the you know what!!!
It's inconceivable that GM refuses to accept that this is a problem with this make and model of car given all the consumer complaints. What I think we should do is see if any class action law firms want to take this one on.

I have had all four window regulators go out. I replaced the front two the rear have been blocl]ked

I bought this 2002 LeSabre brand new and have had to replace all four windows because
they just fall down and you have to replace the whole piece at a real hefty price with no
recoarse from GM at all. When it happened the first time at only 20,000 miles the dealer fixed it and it was not covered under the warranty (nice). I complained to GM and got
no where, now it has happened three more times so i took it to my auto body shop to
have it repaired with junk yard parts because like they said the plastic part that keeps breaking is a poor design made of cheap plastic that expands and cracks from the heat and cold. GM told me that they have not heard of any problems with the windows so there is no recall. Gee funny i am the only one that has had this
- Sandy S., Medway, MA, US
This is the second time in a year that I have had a window simply drop into the door on my LeSabre (2 different windows). It is enormously expensive to fix, but seems to be a common problem. I must drive for my work, so I am forced to get the thing repaired. If I have to repair all four, this will probably cost me more than the car is worth.

This is the fourth time that I've had to replace a window regulator on this car. This is a well known problem for Buick LeSabres. so why doesn't GM make a recall and accept some responsibility?
- R J., Chocowinity, NC, US
Right rear window regulator. Second time of four that an original equipment regulator needed to be replaced
- R J., Chocowinity, NC, US
Right front window regulator replaced. This is the 3rd of 4 times that an original equipment window regulator needed to be replaced.
- R J., Chocowinity, NC, US
Left rear window regulator. First one of four in that were eventually replaced

I lowered the windows and when I went to raise the REAR-PASSENGER there was a "crack" noise and it would not go back up. The plastic part, at the top of the window regulator, had broken - causing the wire, which runs through the regulator, moving the window up and down, to just coil up inside the door panel. I went to a dealership to have them quote me the cost of repairing and was eventually told the repair would run me ~$700. I was told that the part alone was ~$400. I didn't have them fix it... because I was expecting a ~$75 repair... not ~$700! I taped up the window (which I hate being "that car") and decided to get another quote. At the time I was incredibly busy with work and didn't get around to it though. Roughly a month later the EXACT same thing happened to my FRONT-PASSENGER window. I now have both passenger side windows held up by tape.
I CANNOT believe there is no recall for this. I have tried looking for a place to submit problems with cars to Buick directly, but have been told to only go to a dealership and tell them.... and I've already been to a dealership with this problem and no luck. I have taken my door panel off to try and fix myself and was very surprised that the problem was just that the top part of the regulator, which is basically just a track for the wire to run in as the window goes up and down, was cheap plastic. The rest of the regulator is steal, and the part that has all the tension from the wire running over it, is plastic. Ridiculous.

I have a 2002 Buick LeSabre and my daughter and friend each have this particular year. We are on our fourth replacement of window regulator on our car, my daughter had 2 go bad, and friend had 3 replaced. What is the problem? We have contacted GM and noticed that this problem has been occurring since the 2000 model. Do you have to be killed in a car for a problem flaw to be looked at? At 500-800 dollars a repair and GM will not recognized this problem. CAN SOMEONE DO ANYTHING????
