Driver side headlamp has condensation in it causing it to quit working. The car was taken to the garage and was told that this is a very common problem with the Buick Regal. I was given a repair cost of over $1600. I was also told that this will probably occur again. There was no indication that my headlight was not working until I was driving down the road at night and another vehicle flashed their high beams at me.

When driving the vehicle it stops out of nowhere and cuts back on. There is a burning/melting smell coming from the back of the vehicle. Once the car is off sometimes the battery is drained. The driver side head light keeps getting moisture inside and causes the bulb to go out.

Both head lights continuously fill up with moisture and cause the head lights to not function which becomes very dangerous at night when I do not expect it to happen. This seems to be a common problem with these vehicle as many people complain on auto forums about it. The lights don't work while vehicle is stationary or moving.

The contact owns a 2013 Buick Regal. The contact stated that the headlight assemblies kept filling up with water, which caused the bulbs to short out. Stoops Buick GMC (1251 quaker blvd, plainfield, in 46168, (317) 839-7771) replaced the headlight assemblies three times. The most recent replacement was last week. The dealer had not revealed how the water was entering into the headlight assemblies. The manufacturer was contacted and referred the contact to NHTSA. The failure mileage was 35,000.

Moisture built up in the drivers side headlight cause the whole headlight assembly to fail. I paid to have it replaced last year and now the passengers side has done the exact same thing. It is a condensation problem causing the units to fail and should be considered a safety issue! when your headlight goes out without warning on a stormy night it is dangerous not only for you but anyone in the area around you since you have such low visibility. I still have the old headlight assembly if any one would like to review it or check for damage.

I recently got pulled over by the local police department that noticed that my driver side headlight was out as I was pulling out of my drive way first thing in the morning.after changing the headlight bulb ($100)the headlight did not turn on.under recommendation of the part clerk of my local parts store we looked at the headlight ballast ($300).this vehicle headlight design somehow accumulates condensation within the headlight housing. The condensation some how gains access and accumulates into the ballast of the high intensity discharge lights which are mounted underneath the headlamp assembly. Leaving the vehicle with no headlights to operate the vehicle safely at night or under low visibility conditions.after replacing the light bulb and ballast the head lights still would not turn on. Somehow the entire headlight assembly needs to be replaced at an outrageous cost of over ($1,500) per headlight assembly. Due of the condensation and water damage the internal electronics of the headlight are not functional leaving the operator and passengers of the 2013 Buick Regal gs equipt with factory high intensity lighting in the dark.

The car was driven to a commitment (no rain) which started before sundown and ended at night, raining. Upon leaving the drivers headlight did not illuminate, when checked it looked to be shorted out due to water entering the lens assembly. Considering the car was not driven how did this happen? the car had no damages to the light assembly and none to the front of the vehicle, but water/vapor entered into the headlight causing no illumination to upper or lower beams. This caused limited vision & hazardous driving conditions on my drive home at night from the commitment. I was told by Buick this should not have occurred but they did have reported claims about this issue. The cost of the total lens replacement by Buick for the driver's side lens assembly was $1,143 + labor. Do I expect the other side
